Sigma Domain includes powerful search features that work across multiple content types: web pages, images, videos, and places. These searches run automatically when relevant to your question.

How Search Works

When you ask a question, the multi-track system analyzes your request and decides which search types to activate:

• Web RAG Track - Searches the web for current information
• Image Track - Finds relevant images
• Video Track - Discovers video content
• Places Track - Finds locations, businesses, restaurants

Multiple tracks can run in parallel for a single query, giving you comprehensive results.

Web Search

Automatic Web Search

The AI automatically searches the web when your question needs:

• Current events or news
• Factual information that may have changed
• Product information or reviews
• Technical documentation

• Results appear as context for the AI response
• Source URLs are included for verification
• A link gallery may appear showing relevant web pages

Image Results

• Images appear in a gallery format
• Click an image to view it full-size
• Results come from web image search
• The AI can describe and analyze found images

Video Search

Video Results

• Videos appear as clickable thumbnails

• Results include title, duration, and source
• The AI can summarize video content when available

Place Search

Place Results

• Results appear on an interactive map
• Each place shows name, rating, and address
• Click a place for more details
• Results include opening hours, reviews, and contact info

Location Requirements

• Place search works best when location access is granted
• You can specify a location: "restaurants in Paris"
• Or use "near me" with location permissions enabled

Search Tips

Be Specific

• "Latest Python 3.12 features" works better than "Python stuff"
• Include dates or time ranges for time-sensitive queries

Combine Search Types

• "Find Italian restaurants near me with photos and reviews"
• The system will activate both place and image tracks

Refine Results

• Ask follow-up questions to narrow results
• "Show me only vegetarian options from those restaurants"
• "Find more recent videos on that topic"

Tool and Function Discovery

How Tool Discovery Works

1. The Tool Track searches the function catalog
2. Functions are ranked by relevance to your query
3. Top matches are presented as suggestions
4. Click a function to view details or execute it

Browsing the Function Catalog

• "Show me all available integrations"
• "List tools in the communication category"
• "What APIs have I imported?"

Troubleshooting

No Search Results

• Check your internet connection
• Try rephrasing your query with different keywords
• Some searches may take a few seconds to complete

Location Not Working

• Ensure location permissions are granted in your browser
• Check that location services are enabled on your device
• Specify a location manually if auto-detection fails

Outdated Results

• Add "2025" or "latest" to your query for recent information
• The AI notes when information may be outdated
• Web search provides the most current data available
