Overview

Sigma Domain supports visual customization through themes, color schemes, and display modes. You can switch between dark and light modes, choose accent colors, and apply custom themes.

Dark and Light Mode

Switching Modes

• Click the theme toggle in the settings or top bar
• Or ask in chat: "Switch to dark mode" / "Switch to light mode"
• The change applies immediately across the entire interface

Auto Mode

• Follows your system/OS preference
• Switches automatically at sunrise/sunset if your OS supports it
• Enabled by default on most platforms

Color Themes

Built-in Themes

Sigma Domain includes several pre-built color themes:

• Default - Clean blue accent on neutral background
• Dark - Dark background with light text, easy on the eyes
• Light - Bright white background with dark text
• Ocean - Blue-tinted theme
• Additional themes may be available depending on your subscription

Changing the Theme

1. Open Settings (gear icon)
2. Navigate to Appearance or Theme
3. Browse available themes
4. Click a theme to preview and apply it

Accent Color

• Some themes allow you to choose a custom accent color
• The accent color affects buttons, links, and highlighted elements
• Pick from a color palette or enter a custom hex value

Requesting a Custom Theme

• Ask in chat: "Change the background color to dark blue"
• "Make the chat bubbles green"
• "Use a purple accent color"

What You Can Customize

• Background color (main area, sidebar)
• Text color
• Accent/highlight color
• Chat bubble colors (user vs. AI)
• Button and link colors
• Border and separator colors

Platform-Specific Notes

Web Browser

• Themes are stored in your browser's local storage
• They sync with your account when logged in
• Different browsers may render colors slightly differently

Desktop App (Electron)

• Full theme support
• System tray icon may not change with theme
• Title bar follows the OS theme

Mobile App

• Supports dark and light mode
• Custom themes available on supported devices
• Respects system-wide dark mode setting

Accessibility

High Contrast

• High-contrast themes are available for better visibility
• Ask: "Enable high contrast mode"

Font Size

• Adjust font size in Settings > Appearance
• Or use browser zoom (Ctrl/Cmd + / -)

Reduced Motion

• Disable animations in Settings > Accessibility
• Follows system-level reduced motion preferences

Troubleshooting

Theme Not Applying

• Try refreshing the page
• Clear browser cache
• Check if you're logged in (themes may not save for guests)

Colors Look Wrong

• Check your monitor's color profile
• Ensure no browser extensions are overriding styles
• Try a different browser to rule out browser-specific issues

Theme Reset After Refresh

• Ensure you're logged in so themes save to your account
• Check that local storage is not being cleared by browser settings
• Private/incognito mode may not persist theme choices
